  1. Allow time in filters to be specified as "yesterday," "today," & "tomorrow" so that Smart Filters do not have to be updated

Right now date filters in Smart Views have to be absolute dates or references to differences from absolute dates. You can't have a date filter that says "Start Date is before TOMORROW" and have the date filter automatically change as time progresses. But you can in ToodleDo in a Saved Search (ToodleDo's equivalent of a Smart View). ToodleDo is smart enough to deal with absolute date references, same as 2Day, and also relative date references to whatever date "TOMORROW" happens to be right now. 2Day would be a lot more useful if it were clever enough to allow such relative…

      You have left! (?) (thinking…)

My understanding is that it’s already possible. Create a smart view, select ‘start’ for the field, then you can select ‘is tomorrow’.

      Am I missing something?

    • On the Task create Screen, Please change the Tick to a Save.

Tick usually means complete the task, not save task. A bit confusing for 1st timers.

            • Allow drag and drop to change priority

When I look at my tasks for the day I want to order them according to which ones I will do first. Since they display as a board where I can drag to change the date, I would like to also drag within the column to set the order. I would be ok with this assigning the priority so it is the same as where I drop it in the list.

                Hi Jane,

I guess you can already do that in some way. If you group your tasks by priority (by tapping the calendar icon next to the name of the view in the header of the app), you can then use drag/drop to move your tasks.

Please let me know if that helps,
                Kind regards,

                Jeremy

              • Option for list view

In addition to the cards view, would it be possible to have a list view? I find it disconcerting not to be able to look down a list to compare, say, Start or Due dates easily.

Using Continuum the action buttons are in the bottom RH corner of the screen. this can be a long way away on a large screen ! I suggest the LH side is a more convenient location..

                  • To be able to change the priority of a task to a star AFTER created

After the task is created there is no way to change the priority to a star. It would be nice to be able to star the priority of a task after its creation. Right now to mark the priority of a task to a start needs to be done from the very beginning and if for some reason the priority is changed there is no way to mark it with a star again.

                    • 2Day for Windows 10 Mobile Live Tile

I find the Live Tile used in 2Day for Windows 10 Mobile (v4.2.0.0) severely downgraded compared to the Live Tile used in 2Day v3.2.
Users should be able to select what and how is showing on the tile.

I'd like to be able to see the full next 7 days from the week view. Like this I'm able to shift certain task easily by sliding them to other days. It can be done but only if there are tasks on that particular day.

press "j" followed by a "t" should jump to the first folder/filter/tag starting with "t", e.g. "Today". If you continue with "om" (j-t-o-m) it should jump to "Tomorrow".

                          • Project management

In my work, I've to view tasks as projects (with a start date and a due date).

However, 2Day is unable to view tasks as 'projects', where tasks can be viewed across multiple dates, like a project timeline. This makes the 'start date' feature in 2Day more useful.
(Sadly, I can't find a way to utilize the 'start date' feature in 2Day - it is quite useless as of now)

Sim, the idea of the start date is that it can be used to hide a task until the start date is reached. That’s very useful for tasks that you know you won’t be able to do anything until a certain date. To hide tasks with start date in the future, you must turn on this option in the settings.

                              • Create a config-switch for case-sensitivity in searches, e.g. tags

When you assign a tag to a task, you don't always want to type the case right. E.g. I use a tag called "viaCall". When I quickly create a task, I might write "viacall" - which results in a second tag with a lower "c", which was not the intention.

That’s an interesting idea. I think it would make sense only on desktop right ? What we could do is to display a calendar icon at the bottom right corner of the screen and show the calendar if you highlight this area. Does that sounds interesting ?

                                    • Review UI layout to use a single column list approach

Apparently current card view might be a polishing layout for presenting to-do lists comparing with other GTD tools, but I think it might not good for our focusings. Man shall have limited concentration on it current workspace, and I think most of people would focus on Today's or high-priority tasks most of the time rather than the whole list.
That's why I saying here: I'd like to suggest that 2Day would update a layout which always splitting the workspace into 3 parts from left to right:

Hamburger Menu | Single Column List Group by Due Day | To-do Detail (Editing)

                                      • Make the lock screen icon bigger

What the title says. At the moment the lock screen icon is rather small when compared with the others (email/messenger/calls/etc), so it's just making it a bit bigger, perhaps 50%? I can provide a mockup if needed.
                                        Thanks!

                                        • Dutch language support

Please add Dutch support or explain why you cannot support Dutch (since it was rejected before, something that I consider absurd)

Hi Tim, thanks for the feedback. There is no limitation about adding Dutch support, until now it was rather a matter of priority. Getting a professional translation is expensive and we don’t have that many Dutch users. Would you like to give us help on this topic ?

                                            Kind regards,
                                            Jeremy
